NOT THE END . . . BUT THE BEGINNING
This Monday, September 18th, CFUN Radio will institute a completely new and fresh programming concept. After seven years of consistently programming "Top 40" music, we move up to "Today's Sound". We sincerely hope you will be with us from this day forth on CFUN's new "Sound of Music". CFUN will broadcast around the clock the finest and widest selection of popular, carefully chosen music being recorded throughout the world today. CFUN will provide news coverage second to none, with an expanded team of highly-experienced newsmen. CFUN will institute a limited commercial policy to maximize listener enjoyment and, as a result, further increase the musical mood of the time. Many months of planning have gone into our new concept. The greatest possible amount of care and attention to the ingredients has been executed. All this expressly for your listening enjoyment. We invite you at this time to sample the product that we will be offering. We invite your constructive criticism on any part of our total programming. We hope that you will find the new sound of CFUN pleasing to the ear, informative, entertaining, and a happy experience on a day-to-day basis. The times are changing and you have informed us that your needs were not being supplied. This is our investment in your beliefs and tastes. We know you will find it totally different from anything you have had the pleasure of experiencing to date, and we feel that you will be pleased with what you hear. Thank you for seven years of unequaled success. Please join in the movement toward the better things in life you have demanded on the new CFUN Sound of Music. It's yours now at 1410.

Notes:
-This is the last CFUN chart. Following this the station transformed itself into a "contemporary" music station. This edition is a composite containing information from the store-distributed "collectors farewell" edition of the survey along with the "Final Fun Forty" listed in the Vancouver Province. To view or download a scan of the original survey return to the Index page.
-The date given for the first "Fun Ten" is incorrectly dated March 10, 1960, when it was actually March 19, 1960.
